Connecting people with nature, culture and heritage
Morecambe Bay Partnership is a charity dedicated to connecting people with the nature, culture and heritage of Morecambe Bay.
It needed to cultivate a stronger brand to make the charity more visible and supportable.
It also needed to be more effective at communicating its work and reaching out to communities and audiences around the bay.
Inspired by sea and sand
The rebrand of the Morecambe Bay Partnership was the perfect project for one of our designers who lives in this beautiful part of the world.
Spanning a wide area from Barrow in Furness to Fleetwood, Morecambe Bay is a magical place, teeming with life.
We needed to create a look and feel that would maximise stunning photography of the landscapes and people.
It also needed to work hard and convey multiple narratives around conservation, fundraising and transforming lives.
ICG’s design created a style that encapsulates the charity’s core focus – connecting people with the nature, culture and the heritage of Morecambe Bay.
Visible and supportable
ICG created a brand identity that was friendly, warm and accessible with a colour palette inspired by nature and the rippling sands of the bay.
Graphical devices including bird prints, trees and footprints were created to help convey multiple narratives overlaid across photography.
An animated video was created to showcase picturesque walks, cycle trails, community spirit and nature reserves.
The new brand was rolled out across wayfinding posters, brochures and the website.
“We are thrilled with the brand, imagery and logo the team at ICG have created for us; we have had great feedback from our supporters and can’t wait to develop more exciting resources using the brand to help our charity go from strength to strength.”

Ways Around the Bay
The charity’s new look also needed to work seamlessly with its projects including Ways Around The Bay.
Ways Around The Bay is an interactive, route planner for cycling, walking and accessible trails.
We also created a signpost-style logo for the route planner, which is being shared in a series of paid social media ads
Paid social media
We implemented a series of paid social media ads to promote summer activities across Morecambe Bay.
The paid social media ads targeted people on Facebook and Instagram with a 90-minute drive time and people who enjoyed the outdoors, exercise and nature.
Content encouraged visitors to visit the free trails with the help of the route planner, Ways Around The Bay, utilise the e-bikes and take advantage of the tramper hire.
The success of the first round of activity meant further paid social media ads were created for the autumn.
Love Morecambe Bay
The ‘Love Morecambe Bay’ fundraising campaign was launched in 2023.
It is a way for people and businesses to support and champion the sands, sunsets, historic places and wildlife of the bay.
We created a heart-shaped logo for Love Morecambe Bay which is currently being used on merchandise including tote bags and t-shirts.
Funds raised help the charity grow its programmes with young people.
