Helping drive positive change
The Racing Foundation was established to oversee the distribution of funds to charitable causes following the sale of the Tote.
It aims to create lasting legacies for the sport of horse racing.
ICG has been working with The Racing Foundation since 2016, helping communicate its work and how funds have been spent.
The foundation communicates on a wide range of industry topics from autism and LGBT ‘racing with pride’ to equine welfare.
Creating a lasting legacy
To mark the 10-year anniversary of the Racing Foundation, ICG was commissioned to update the existing brand, to reflect the organisation’s ethos around driving positive change.
A modern, professional look and feel was needed to demonstrate the important role of the foundation.
Our creative team intertwined the letters R and F to form a new logo alongside a new font and colour palette of dark gold, gold and deep grey.
The brand was applied to digital channels including a content-managed website and assets for social platforms. It helped present a range of complex financial information, strategy documents and action plans in a simple and straightforward manner.

Racing Foundation Conference
To align with the foundation’s new brand we were commissioned to provide creative support for the Racing Foundation Conference – an annual event to bring people together from across the sector.
A separate colour palette was introduced alongside icons to convey a sense of discussion and to show how the foundation was moving forward and modernising.
The style was applied to web pages and event material including a digital booklet, delegate listing, signage, delegate badges, lectern and stage graphics as well as assets for social media and emails.
Supporting parents in the racing industry
Working parents can face significant challenges to pursue careers in the horse racing sector.
ICG was commissioned to create a striking brand identity to underpin a new initiative called the Racing Home project, funded by the Racing Foundation.
We created a brand look and feel that conveyed an approachable, accessible and friendly personality, bringing ‘people’ into the heart of the horse racing sector.
It enabled information about the rights and entitlements of parents-to-be and working parents to be accessed online around matters such as pregnancy, maternity and paternity pay, flexible working and statutory pay.
