Hey kids – why don’t you do something less boring instead

With everyone from Joe Wicks to David Walliams trying to help kids and young people channel their energies during lockdown, ICG has come up with its own sweet treat challenge.

We are sending youngsters on a mission to create the ultimate sweet shop, from thinking up its name and logo to designing how the shop should look and a poster to promote its opening.

We have started by asking our own families but the challenge is open to all youngsters and we have designed a “Let’s Create a Great Sweet Shop’ booklet to guide budding young marketeers and inspire them.

Everyone who submits their ideas to us will also be entered into a prize draw to win a family ticket to Blackpool Zoo.

Does your shop have a theme like the mad professor’s lab? Is it a magical enchanted forest packed with Harry Potter style chocolate frogs and exploding bon bons?

Creative Director Simon Couchman said: “We are all trying to do our bit to help each other right now and we know from experience how difficult it is to keep the kids motivated and entertained.

“Hopefully our sweet shop challenge will give them something to get their thinking caps on and colouring pencils out. Hopefully it will inspire the next generation of creative marketers.

“Good luck everyone, we’re really looking forward to seeing your ideas – who knows, we may even try and bring some of them to life.”
